College is all about time management. Getting ahead of the curve, because it's so easy. That's what
happens with kid in college, that's why they don't do well, because for the first time there's no
one tracking them, no one is imposing discipline on them. You have to have, in order to do well in
college, you have to have self-discipline. ' Cause no one is gonna tell you to start that paper
that's due in six weeks, no one is gonna tell you to start it tomorrow. Get there and start
working like, you're not gonna feel perfect every day. If I felt, if I only worked out when I felt
good, I'd be a fat. 'Cause there's a lot of days I don't wanna do it. I bet it's pretty much the
same with everybody that actually gets good at something. That you get, there's got to be those days
you push through. You need to get the time management going, you need to get a discipline time
management schedule, you need to get ahead of the curve as early as possible. And there, there are
probably ganna be more numerous than the days you don't. And so, the benefit of discipline in my
eyes has always been that through discipline I get things done. I always tell me, I always say that
I'm like the most lazy disciplined person I know. Because I don't wanns do it. Yeah, but I always do
. You wanna be an artist? You wanna be an engineer? I don't know, but I want you to start the year
off. We're not talking about, you know, fake dreams and just writing goals down to be doing it. I'm
talking about knowing what you want, because when you know what you want, that's what a drive comes
from, that's what a passion comes from. When the things is done, when the discipline has been
implemented. Remember what that feels like, and then remember that those minutes and those hours.
They turn into weeks and months and years, and holding the line in those critical minutes will put
you in an infinitely better place physically and mentally, if you maintain the discipline. I don't
have my morning routine game, I feel, you know, out of source. So I think it's true for everybody,
you gotta own your morning, you got to win it. Because that starts and sets up everything else.
People need that discipline, those routines that would help the rest of day go better. Get some
momentum and be okay if that momentum is really small. Because it will build, trust it. That
momentum builds and trust those gloomy and bad dark days. Trust that those are going to be there.
Honor the difficulty. When we honor the struggle instead of hate the struggle, we can really
achieve extraordinary things because our mindstes in the right place. Now the first night you're
gonna have a hard time going to sleep. What you do is the next morning you wake up early anyways.
That first night you only got five hours worth of sleep and now you're tired throughout the day,
good. Because then when you get to bed that night, you'll tuen off that computer, you'll be able
to go to bed earlier like you wanted to.
