I will now look back over what is past and done with, my messed-up life and all the sensual
corruption that went on in my heart--not because I relish the prospect, but so that I might love
you, My God. Analyzing such good-for-nothing behaviour is a bitter undertaking,but it is done for
love of your love,so that you might grow sweet and lovely to me.Yours is a loveliness that never
lets me down,a loveliness wrapped in security and happiness.So once again you, the great Unifier,
must show how you put together my fragmented personality after it turned away from you and split
into pieces and became lost.
As I grew into adolescence I took my fill of hell. I ran wild in rank forest of shady amorous
adventures, and my beauty consumed away like a moth.As I tried to create an attractive image
in my own eyes and in the eyes of men, I turned into something rotten in your eyes.
