Traveling experience is different for each person. Some have said that flying adds a sort of
excitement to their travels. I, However, have never really been a fan of planes or the airport
in general. The reason is that I am terrified of heights. growing up on an island, I only left
away from the rock via airplane. You would think that this would mean I am used to the noisy
flights, limited space, and crowded environment. For some reason, that is not the case. Each
flight is a different experience, some more horrifying than the last.
Despite my absolute fear of flying, I have a huge passion for travel, I want to experience the
world. Moving to the mainland of the United States, I have dicovered new love for transportation.
As a kid, road trips have always been only a scene on a television screen. This year has turned that
moving picture into a reality for me. Without a body of water between me and my destinations, my
ability to travel within North America broadened greatly. Although road trips definitely take more
time than a simple plane ride, I am able to experience a number of places rather than just my
destination.
