A trip to China has been a dream of mine for many years. It was not so easy for me to achieve it.
But finally I did it.
I arrived at the Beijing Capital International Airport early in the morning. Then I sat in
A taxi moving its way to the great city.
I looked out of the window. The thick morning haze made the sun appear a deep red color
and it looked like a drawing on the sky. Beijing is very huge. My city, Athens, is like a
village compared with Beijing in my mind.
I stayed in Beijing for a week. I explored the city. I enjoyed the Chinese food very much.
I tasted some authentic Chinese food since I went to some places that only Chinese knew.
One day, I went to the Great Wall. As I stood on it, I took a deep breath o f the fresh air.
I realized how lucky I was to fulfill my dream.
Some unpleasant experiences, like the heavy pollution for a couple of days,
did not stop me from wanting to return one day.
I left Beijing, but I'll never forget the great experience in Beijing.
Part of my heart was left in Beijing. When I come back, my heart will be whole again.
