Nowadays, it is increasingly acknowledged that the architectural
designs are playing a more and more important role in people's life.
While some people believe that the design of architecture can have
effects on people’s lives and work, others argue that the design of
buildings does not affect our life. As far as I am concerned, the design
of buildings affects people's work and life positively, which can be
supported by the reasons as follows. It is reasonable for me to believe
that good architectural design can ensure people's safety better,
which is obvious because modern architectures usually come up with
safe facilities such as fire exits and emergency access that provides
more protection for life safety when accidents happen. This can be
supported by a recent study by Oxford University which stated that
the buildings with fire exits have a much lower fire death rate than
others. Moreover, the good design of buildings can also improve
people's work efficiency, which is reasonable because the sound
insulation of many offices is very well, thus people can work in a quiet
environment without being disturbed. To further support the above
statement, I can always concentrate on my work when in the office
because it has excellent sound insulation. In a nutshell, while this
controversial topic never fails to attract public attention, we may
safely conclude that the design of architecture has positive effects on
people's lives.
